Magec Tías Against Gender Violence traveled to Barcelona to face Snatt's Sant Adrià, leader of the Women's League 2, in one of the most complicated clashes of the season. The Lanzarote team had recovered Yaiza García and Carolina Mateo, with only Sara Duarte absent.
In the first quarter, the Catalan team surprised with a fast and effective defense, which disrupted the island team, leaving the players of CD Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" with a difference in the score that was going to be a burden, 26 to 15.
Despite this difference, in the second quarter we saw a much more composed and firm team, with Carolina Mateo in stellar form carrying her teammates and even reducing differences on the scoreboard. The third personal foul of Yaiza García, before the break, diminished the Lanzarote game that was clearly improving, reaching the break with the score of 45 to 27.
In the second half, the teams began to intensify their defenses and the Lanzarote team managed to reduce the differences, although the continuous errors in the shots were undermining the possibilities of getting closer on the scoreboard. Despite the improvement in the game, the differences were widening until reaching 20, favorable to the Catalan team, forcing the Lanzarote bench to call a timeout. The numbers did not improve, 21 at the end of the third quarter, 60 to 39, with the added problem of having Yaiza García with 4 personal fouls.
In the last quarter, the Catalan team made rotations so that the youngest players could gain experience, while the Canary Islanders took advantage to cut differences despite the difficulty of achieving the comeback. The fatigue and overexertion did not give the possibility of a miracle and again the leader of the category proved intractable and denied any hint of a comeback, closing the match with a score of 81 to 59.
