Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" emphatically defeated Baloncesto Femenino León, in the match played this Saturday and belonging to the fourteenth day of the Women's League 2.

The Lanzarote team had an excellent first quarter, giving the León team no options, as they rushed their shots again and again, thanks to the good defensive action of the players trained by Jesús García. The result of 24 to 7 in the first partial of the match was vital at the end of the match, serving the locals to play with peace of mind, knowing that they had the match in their favor.

The high scoring numbers of the first quarter were also maintained in the second, where the locals managed to score 20 points to 22 by the visitors. This allowed Carlos Fernández's players to believe in their chances of playing head-to-head with the islanders, who remained strong in their game, without giving the impression of being complacent with the advantage they had at halftime.

At the beginning of the third quarter, it seemed that the Lanzarote team had lost the good sensations they showed during the first half of the match. The León team managed to slightly reduce the advantage that Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" had on the scoreboard, although the scoring ability of both teams was diminished by the intensity of the defense and the lack of aim.

A time-out requested by Jesús García brought the locals back into the match, recovering the advantage they had before the break and even extending it, reaching up to 26 points difference, concluding the third partial with the score of 59 to 38.

In the last part of the match, the visitors showed their pride to avoid a resounding defeat and gradually reduced the differences, especially after passing the halfway point of the last quarter, where the locals were less successful in defense and attack, turning this part of the match into a back-and-forth between basket and basket.

The match ended with a score of 69 to 56 favorable to the Canary players, who add their sixth victory of the season and overtake their last rival in the standings. Next match, Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" will visit Pontevedra to face CB Arxil.
