UD Lanzarote was eliminated in the first round of the promotion phase to the Second Division "B", with Elche Ilicitano being the team that advances to the next round. The Elche team arrived at the Lanzarote Sports City with a two-goal advantage, a lead that they increased in the 19th minute of the first half when Nuha beat the goal defended by Agoney. The locals, encouraged by nearly 3,500 spectators, tried everything and only Rosmen was able to equalize in the middle of the second half.

As expected, UD Lanzarote came out strong on the field, looking for the goal that would put them in the tie. As a result of this push, they bottled up Elche Ilicitano in their area, although the visitors kept Nuha and Sory in attack, players who fought for every ball. A cross-shot from Marcos Cabrera from the right wing was the first approach of UD Lanzarote, with the defense clearing it for a corner kick.

Elche Ilicitano shook off the dominance as the minutes passed. The visitors pressured UD Lanzarote's ball exit, which forced the locals to give away the ball on many occasions. Another approach from UD Lanzarote came in the 15th minute, when Vladimir was unable to finish a good cross from the left wing.

A defensive error cost UD Lanzarote the first goal of the match in the 19th minute of the first half. The center backs left a loose ball in the vicinity of the area, Nuha took possession of the ball and with a shot adjusted to the post sent it into the back of the net. A bucket of cold water for the players and for the thousands of fans who populated the stands of the Lanzarote Sports City.

It was difficult for UD Lanzarote to recover from the goal conceded. A shot from Vladimir that went excessively high and a shot from Rosmen from inside the area were some of the approaches of UD Lanzarote. UD Lanzarote played in bursts, rushing in the final meters and not being able to test the goalkeeper Conesa.

The first half of the match ended with the clearest chance for the locals. Rosmen controlled a ball inside the area, turned around and his shot went next to the post. A first half that concluded excessively heated, with a scuffle forming between the players of the two teams as they tried to reach the dressing room area.

The coach of UD Lanzarote, Adolfo Pérez, made two changes at the start of the second half with which he sought more presence in attack. Kennedy and Ayoze Pérez took the positions of Vladimir and Fran Gil, with UD Lanzarote playing with a defense of three players throughout the second half.

The locals had an unbeatable chance in the 5th minute of the restart. A ball between the lines allowed Kennedy to get behind the defense, he stood inside the area and in the one-on-one with the goalkeeper he crashed his shot into Conesa's body. An opportunity that served for UD Lanzarote to believe in their remote possibilities of turning the tie around.

The equalizer would come in the middle of the second half. A good cross from Toñito's right wing was finished with a diving header by Rosmen, putting the ball next to the base of the post and establishing the one-goal tie. A goal that gave wings to the locals, looking for the feat in the minutes remaining until the end of the match.

The match broke in the final minutes of the match, moments in which the sentence of Elche Ilicitano could have arrived. Iván Agudo stood inside the area, dribbled past goalkeeper Agoney and his shot crashed into the base of the goalpost. The response from UD Lanzarote came through Rosmen just two minutes later. The striker controlled a ball inside the area, and his shot was taken out from below by goalkeeper Conesa.

Until the end of the match it was a wanting and not being able to by UD Lanzarote. The locals turned to the goal of Elche Ilicitano and the visitors tried to have the ball as far away from their goal as possible. With the one-goal tie on the scoreboard, the end of the match was reached, with UD Lanzarote being eliminated and Elche Ilicitano advancing to the second round.
