"Where is the limit?", is the famous phrase coined by the Catalan triathlete Josef Ajram and to which for the second consecutive year he has found the exact answer. The limit for Josef Ajram is in La Gomera, an island that put an end to his Red Bull 7 Islands adventure, ending the challenge of completing seven Ironman distance triathlons in seven days. Ajram was scheduled to finish the adventure next Sunday in Lanzarote, anxiety and excessive pressure ruined all the work done and the triathlete got off the bicycle at kilometer 120.

After completing the first of the seven triathlons in El Hierro on Monday, Josef Ajram traveled to La Gomera early Tuesday morning. The Columbine Island has become cursed for this famous triathlete, who last year had to abort the possibility of completing the Red Bull 7 Islands challenge due to a heat stroke. This time it has not been the orography of La Gomera or the heat, pointing out the Catalan triathlete that "when the head fails, it is difficult to make the body react"

The day began at 8 in the morning when Josef Ajram took the plane that transferred him from El Hierro to La Gomera. He completed without problems the 3.8 kilometers swimming segment and then faced the 180 kilometers cycling route. After more than four hours of pedaling, he decided to get off the bicycle at kilometer 120. "I had anxiety and it was hard for me to breathe," said Josef Ajram as soon as he got off the bicycle and ended the challenge. The Catalan triathlete was uncomfortable on the bike and the memories came to him of the fears of last year when he had to abandon the challenge at kilometer 20 due to a heat stroke and that kept him hospitalized for several days.

"I have not been able to enjoy the test"

"I have dedicated myself body and soul to this challenge training an average of more than 23 hours a week. Physically I was and am well, but I have not been able to enjoy the test at any time", explained Josef Ajram. The Catalan triathlete added that "I have had an avalanche of negative thoughts and I have been afraid that something would happen all the time", which explains the tension experienced.

Joef Ajram finds the limit again in La Gomera. Now he will have to rethink his sports career, which has been plagued by failures in recent years despite the media popularity of the Catalan triathlete who lives his day to day as a stock broker.
