Ismael Ventura, with an accumulated time of 3 hours, 53 minutes and 46 seconds, and Kataiza Sierra (4:42:59) were proclaimed absolute winners of the 'V Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa,' a test co-organized by the Santa Rosa Club and the Cabildo de Lanzarote through the Insular Sports Service, directed by councilor Patricia Pérez, and held this weekend with nearly 450 participants.
The Catalan cyclist, belonging to ESMTB.com, won the 'Líneas Marítimas Romero Time Trial' held on Saturday in La Graciosa with a time of 29 minutes and 3 seconds, and was second in the 'Ultra Cegrisa' on Sunday with a time of 3:24:43. The Canary Islands cyclist, from Loro Parque Los Silos Natural, took 4 hours and seven minutes to win the 'Ultra Cegrisa' and occupied second place in the time trial, recording 35 minutes and 59 seconds.
The Basque Yus Kerejeta, from Loro Parque Los Silos Natural and winner in the two previous editions of the Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa, occupied the second position in the men's general classification this time, while the Catalan Oriol Colomé from Grup Esportiu was third. In the women's category, the Canary Islanders Cathaysa Sánchez, from Picachos Telde, and Isabel Campos, from Orba Orotava, completed the podium in that order.
The 'V Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa' has been sponsored by the Government of the Canary Islands, Turismo Lanzarote 'European Sports Destination' and the Teguise City Council, as well as other private entities.
