This Monday, July 7, marked the beginning of the tenth edition of the UD Las Palmas Campus in Lanzarote, which is being held once again at the Yaiza Municipal Football Field with the participation of a hundred boys and girls, between 5 and 14 years old, who for two weeks will enjoy their favorite sport with daily training sessions.
The activity is guided by a specialized technical team that transfers the official methodology of the UDLP School to Lanzarote, allowing the youngest and most talented youngsters on the island to improve their technical, tactical, psychomotor and competition skills in the practice of football, while internalizing values such as companionship, respect or unity.
This Friday, the acting mayor, Daniel Medina, and the Councilor for Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago, visited the field to share their first impressions with the participants and see firsthand the satisfaction and enthusiasm that reigns among boys and girls from the first day.
“It is an experience that trains footballers, but above all it trains people”, highlighted Daniel Medina, acting mayor, adding that “these days of coexistence and learning leave their mark”.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports Ángel Lago details that “we have been celebrating this Summer Campus in our municipality for eight consecutive years and we will continue to bet on bringing top-level sports programs to Yaiza”.
