Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife visited the always complicated court of Lirón Teucro on Saturday, which in this match had more than a thousand fans in the stands of the Municipal Pavilion of Pontevedra. After an even first half, Teucro managed to gain a four-goal lead, and San José Obrero reacted to secure a valuable away point.

The match was quite even from the start, with both teams working to impose their rhythm of play on the court. The defenses proved superior to the attacks, in a phase of the game where successes and errors alternated. Teucro seemed somewhat rushed in their attacking actions, and only the solid defense of the Galicians prevented Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife from breaking away in the match.

From the midpoint of the first half, Teucro stepped up, and the home team managed to build a three-goal lead with eight minutes left before halftime (11-8). Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife's offense was being led by Javi Aragón, preventing the home team from pulling away on the scoreboard. The score was 14-12 at halftime.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife tied the game in the early minutes of the second half, with Javi Aragón scoring two goals in a row to put the score at 15-15. Shortly after, the Teucro coach called a timeout, and the Pontevedra team experienced their best minutes on the court.

The instructions from the bench allowed Lirón Teucro to achieve a 4-0 run, obtaining the largest lead up to that point. The four-goal advantage for the home team was maintained for many minutes. The goals from Abián Martín, Ángel Iglesias, Acoidán Martín, and Javi Aragón, tied the score with seven minutes left.

After many minutes, Abián Martín scored to put the Lanzarote team ahead on the scoreboard (22-23). Caue Herrera broke his team's scoring drought, and the last three minutes of the match were very tense on the court. Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife had the last attacking play to win the match, but Teucro's defense was solid in preventing it.

With the result of 24 to 24, the match ended, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife achieving a valuable draw that allows them to maintain a three-point lead over the third-placed team. San José Obrero will play their next match on Friday, facing Automanía Luceros starting at 8:30 PM.
