This Wednesday, the official list of entries for the XLIV Orvecame-Isla de Lanzarote Rally will be published, among which are all the contenders for the Canary Islands Championship and the Lanzarote Island Championship. In total there are 59 participants, with Enrique Cruz-Yeray Mujica carrying number 1 in the Ford Fiesta R5 as current regional champions, followed by their rivals in the CCRA, Miguel Angel Suárez-Eduardo González (Citroen C3 Rally2) and Jan Cerny Pter Cernohorsky (Hyundai i20N Rally2).
The starting order continues with the champions of Lanzarote, Toñín Suárez-Jorge Cedrés with their Porsche 911 GT3, Oliver Rodríguez-David Rivero with another Porsche 911 GT3 and another of the favorites to put order in the final classification, Yeray Lemes-Aitor Cambeiro with another of the Citroen C3 Rally2, identical mount to those of the teams Sergio Fuentes-Ariday Bonilla and Oscar Cabrera-Luis Ferrer.
Then come the Rally 4 type cars of the Cup organized by Sport&You Canarias, headed by the already virtual champion team, the Tenerife natives Fernando Cruz-Tecorice Hernández. A Rally You-BP Ultimate of the Corsa and Peugeot 308 that will have in Lanzarote with several important teams, such as the also Tenerife natives Giovani Fariña-Carolina Fariña, Javier Cañada-Jonathan Hernández, Anibal Machín-Borja de León, Juan Carlos de la Cruz-Gabriel Espino and Alfredo Guerra-Miguel Angel Rodríguez, these last four from Lanzarote.
Suso Lemes-Francisco Rosales repeat with their Ford Fiesta R2T and we will also see Javier Afonso-Mario Quintero with the Ford Fiesta Rally4 of the DISA-Copi Sport team, in addition to his partner Raquel Acosta-Alejandro Rodríguez with similar mount. Also in search of a place among the first will be Camilo González-Daniel Fernández with their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, as will Oscar Curbelo-Elizabeth de la Iglesia with the Renault Mégane Coupé or Rayco Rodríguez-Christofer Rijo with the Renault Clio Sport. Javier Ciprés-Alejandor Blanco, José Yoday Betancort-Rubén Pérez, Alexander Barrios-Marlene Parrilla and Adrián Betancor-Rayco Santana will be other fast drivers, provided their veteran vehicles respect them without breakdowns.
Special mention to the cars of group H90, because in one more rally the Renault 11 Turbo of Pedro Luzardo-Héctor Caraballo and its impressive performance is not missing
This Orvecame-Lanzarote rally is also valid for the FCA Junior Trophy, for the FALP Steering Wheel and FALP Promotion Trophy.
It must be remembered that the island and regional titles are at stake. With respect to the CCRA, the main candidate is the Suárez-González team because they have almost 85% chance of being proclaimed champions, while the options of Cerny-Cernohorsky and Cruz-Mujica are more remote, but also possible.
