FC Puerto del Carmen received Las Majoreras - Guayadeque at their stronghold with the firm purpose of the Lanzarote team to achieve victory and make up for the defeat last weekend. The team trained by Jack Talbot was the clear dominator of the match, both with the wind in favor and against it, a circumstance that occurred in the second half.
After several dangerous approaches, the first goal of the local team arrived after 12 minutes. Eira launched a corner from the left of Alba's goal and Manuela headed it in the small area, putting the ball out of reach of the Gran Canaria goalkeeper.
The local dominance was incontestable, having half a dozen clear scoring chances throughout the first 45 minutes, apart from the goal already achieved. However, the teams went to the break with a 1-0 lead for the tiñoseras.
At the beginning of the second half, the team from the municipality of Ingenio equalized through Ari, who received a ball on the edge of the area and after getting between two defenders, took a strong shot that the local goalkeeper rejected. The sphere rebounded by Naza, fell again at the feet of the rival attacker, who put the ball into the back of the net.
Las Majoreras - Guayadeque's joy was short-lived because moments later, Nieves headed in a corner launched by Janet at the far post, which served to put her team ahead again on the scoreboard.
From that moment on, the team from the municipality of Tías came back in droves, making it 3-1 10 minutes after the restart through Eira, taking advantage of a long clearance from her goalkeeper to finish well against the rival team's goalkeeper.
A few minutes later, Janet entered along the right wing and passed a ball into the area where Eva, who had just entered the field of play, beat the visiting goalkeeper free of marking.
After several clear arrivals from Eva and Janet, it was the former who managed to make it 5-1 in the 78th minute, beating Alba and sealing a match that had little excitement and very good play from the locals.
FC Puerto del Carmen adds the first victory of the season and does so against a rival that is presumed to be fighting for the top positions in the standings. The tiñoseras travel to Gran Canaria next week to visit CD Achamán, a match scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
