The leadership of the Canarian group of the Third Division was at stake in the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote in the match between UD Lanzarote and CD Marino. A classification that remains the same after the draw between both teams on the field and that can be considered fair for what was seen throughout the 90 minutes. Balduino put Marino ahead and Rosmen, the category's top scorer, equalized by converting a penalty.

The first half of the match was marked by equality, with two teams that did not want to leave fissures in defense and UD Lanzarote being the one that had the ball in its possession the most. The fight in the center of the field was intense, the area in which most of the game of the two teams took place.

The first warning was given by UD Lanzarote in the 7th minute. Jeremy, one of the new faces in the local eleven, controlled a ball inside the area, passed to Rosmen and goalkeeper Sergio Aragoneses shone to clear the rojillo striker's close-range shot for a corner. The goal was already being sung in the stands of the Ciudad Deportiva, which once again had a great turnout.

CD Marino's response was immediate, coming in the 8th minute. Balduino controlled a ball on the right side of the area and his shot was repelled with difficulty by goalkeeper Rayco, with the defense definitively clearing the danger.

Dangerous chances began to be scarce in the rest of the first half. It was UD Lanzarote who had more possession of the ball, coming up against a CD Marino well planted on the field, and who only with balls hung into the area was able to create a minimum of danger. UD Lanzarote tried to mature the attacking actions more, looking for the wings and the speed of its attacking players. With the score tied at zero, the end of the first half was reached.

The second half began with a dangerous play for CD Marino. Falo lost a ball in the presence of Néstor Trujillo and the shot from the edge of the area was stopped by goalkeeper Rayco. It was the prelude to the first goal of the match, which would come in the 57th minute, Balduino received a ball inside the area and did not forgive to make it 0-1.

UD Lanzarote did not lose face in the match despite the goal conceded. They could have achieved the equalizer with a pass from Toñito to Rosmen and the striker's shot hit a defender. The equalizer would come in the 66th minute. On this occasion it was Rosmen who headed the ball to Toñito and when he entered the area, Aridani raised his leg too high and hit the player in the face, the referee pointing out the maximum penalty. The action cost Aridani the second yellow card and Rosmen took advantage of the penalty to establish the equalizer.

The heat prevailing on Sunday morning in the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote began to take its toll, slowing down the pace of the game on the field. The dangerous chances were isolated in the final stretch of the match. Both teams took the draw as a good result and the match concluded with a 1-1 score. A draw that leaves the standings as they were before the start of this matchday.

CD Marino leads the standings of the Third Division, having a two-point advantage over CD Mensajero and UD Lanzarote, teams that share the second place and will face each other next Sunday on the island of La Palma. Another important match that UD Lanzarote will have to play
