On Monday afternoon, a new edition of the Uco Arrocha Seminar was launched, an activity that is part of the XXI Conference of the Technical Committee of Football Coaches. Lucas Alcaraz, former coach of Levante UD, was in charge of giving the first presentation, which was attended by about 70 coaches from the island of Lanzarote. Lucas Alcaraz explained some of the methods he uses as a football coach, being fundamental the use of video images to correct the mistakes of the players on the field.

The opening of the XVII Uco Arrocha Seminar took place at the facilities of the Casa de la Juventud of Arrecife. An event that was attended by Eva de Anta, mayor of Arrecife, accompanied by the councilor of Arrecife Samuel Martín, Antonio Brito, president of the Uco Arrocha Seminar, and Luis Chirino, president of the Football Coaches Committee of Las Palmas.

Antonio Brito, president of the Asociación Deportiva y Cultural Promoción 95-96, thanked the public institutions and private companies for the support they provide for the celebration of a new edition of the Uco Arrocha Seminar. For his part, Luis Chirino, president of the Technical Committee of Coaches of Las Palmas, explained that the main objective of these conferences "is the training of coaches" and recalled that in the season that is about to end, 656 qualified coaches have been hired by the clubs of the province of Las Palmas.

The mayor of Arrecife, Eva de Anta, was in charge of opening the presentations of the XVII Uco Arrocha Seminar and highlighted "the importance of a football coach, being responsible for transmitting values and discipline to the players." Samuel Martín, councilor of the City of Arrecife, valued the effort that is made to organize the talks of the Uco Arrocha Seminar.

The first presentation of the Uco Arrocha Seminar was given by Lucas Alcaraz, coach of Levante UD, Granada CF or Aris de Salónica, among other teams. Alcaraz explained the work methodology he uses in the teams he has coached, being fundamental the work with video images or the statistics of the players on the field. The first speaker of the seminar also gave great importance to communication, holding collective and individual talks with the players of the squad.
The Uco Arrocha Seminar will continue on Tuesday starting at 18:00 hours. The second presentation will be given by Juan Carlos Gómez Perlado, physical trainer of the base categories of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Juan Carlos Gómez will explain the work that was carried out with the Spanish Under 19 National Team that won the gold medal in the European Championship in Greece. The second presentation on Tuesday will be given by Luis de la Fuente, national under 19 coach, who will talk about the "process of recruitment and selection, design of a training session".
