Notable success of the Pingüinos Artistic Swimming Club – Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, achieved in the Canary Islands Championship in the children's and junior categories. The event held in the pool of the Las Palmas Swimming Club had the participation of 25 Pingüinas-os, who traveled accompanied by the coaches Sara Gijón and Fabio D´Ascoli.
The team returned with a backpack full of medals in both categories. In children's, Miguel Martínez Morales won gold in the men's general classification, Miguel repeated gold forming a Mixed Duet with Vega Jiménez. The silver came from Miguel Martínez on two occasions, being second of the year 2011 and of the general. Mar Saavedra won the bronze of the year 2013.
In the junior category, two golds, two silvers and two bronzes were added. Vega Martínez won among the swimmers of the year 2009 and fifth overall, Eduardo Curbelo and Victoria Romero won gold in Mixed Duet. The CN Pingüinos – RCNA won silver in the club classification and Eduardo Curbelo 2nd in the men's general. The bronze in juniors was for Victoria Romero in the 2010 classification and the CN Pingüinos –RCNA in Combo.
Among the swimmers of the year 2014, Avril Bethencourt added a gold and Alba Eusebio the silver.
General satisfaction in the expedition, which thanks the board and staff of the Sport Club Puerto Calero for allowing them to train in their pool in the weeks prior to the Regional Championship.
