Club Lucha Tao and Club Lucha Unión Norte, starred in one of the most interesting fights of the fourth day of the Isla de Lanzarote Canarian Wrestling Tournament. The two teams came to this confrontation tied at six points in the standings and with the possibility of being alone in the lead after the results that had occurred in the rest of the fights. Unión Norte, despite a good start to the fight, could not complete its good work and was clearly surpassed by CL Tao.
The confrontation began with the dominance of CL Unión Norte, with the northerners being in charge of scoring the first points of the night. In the first chairs, fighters of the stature of Rubén Niz and Saúl Romero were very active, who left two opponents out of the fight each. Rubén Martín also contributed his grain of sand with an eliminated, putting Unión Norte with a 1-6 advantage on the scoreboard.
Octavio Perera, Highlighted "D" of CL Tao, was one of the architects of his team's comeback, taking down five opponents. Rubén Niz, Bentejuí Curbelo, Hugo Romero, Manuel Placeres and Juan Ramírez, were the fighters that Octavio Perera eliminated on Saturday night and allowed his team to continue with options to take the victory.
Pedro Hernández (CL Unión Note) faced Martín Cano (CL Tao). The first grapple between the two concluded in separate and in the second the northern fighter took down his rival. Less attractive was the confrontation between Toño Betancort and David Romero, being mutually eliminated by two separates.
The majorero Mario Franquiz was in charge of putting the definitive 12 to 9 on the scoreboard, after facing Pedro Hernández. With a stumble he took down the palmero fighter and the second grapple between the two concluded in separate. A fight that had been put in favor of CL Unión Norte and where CL Tao had to work hard to add the third victory of the season.
After this triumph, CL Tao remains as the sole leader of the Isla de Lanzarote Canarian Wrestling Tournament and takes advantage of the ties that CL Unión Sur Yaiza and CL Tías achieved on this day.
