Yeray Lemes confirmed his leadership from last night with a resounding victory in the second Rallysprint of Yaiza, his first triumph with Javier Afonso from Tenerife as co-driver in the Porsche 911 GT3. This team achieved the best times in each of the six passes on the section, ultimately accumulating a lead of 28.9 seconds over another team from Lanzarote, that of Oliver Rodríguez, with David Rivero from Gran Canaria as co-driver, who, in their plan to improve their adaptation to the Porsche 911 GT3, secured second place from TC3 until the end of the race.

The podium was completed by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo of Suso Lemes-Raúl Martín, one minute behind the leader and half a minute behind second place, so it can be said that they held stable honorary positions throughout the rallysprint.

Another Mitsubishi Lancer Evo took fourth place overall and the category 1 trophy, in the best result achieved by the pair Josué Alemán-Víctor Ruiz, who were only 5.9 seconds ahead of the fifth-placed finishers, Alfredo Guerra-Lara Curbelo, who were very happy with their good performance with the new Peugeot 208 Rally4, also winning category 2 in the process. Sixth position went to the Renault Clio Sport of Rayco Rodríguez-Cristhofer Rijo. A position they won in the last stage by three seconds over the team of Joday Betancort-Jonathan Hernández with the small Citroen C2, seventh and first in category 3.

Camilo González-Rubén Feliciano (Peugeot 208 R2), Jonay Fragiel-Ruymán Reyes (Mitsubishi Evo) and Alexander Barrios-Héctor Cedrés (Honda Civic) completed the group of the top ten overall in that order.

With these results, the Lanzarote Championship is heating up, with the top positions still up in the air pending the important rally at the end of the season, the Orvecame-Lanzarote. From Toñín Suárez, to Oliver Rodríguez, Yeray Lemes, Suso Lemes and Oscar Curbelo, they can still fight for the Lanzarote island title.

Tough day for many teams

Saturday's day was marked by mechanical incidents and some road departures, which in some way marked the changes in the classification, with retirements of some key teams that were in the top positions overall after the two night passes on Friday.

The first to leave the race was Toñín Suárez, who after checking the problems with the gearbox, the situation was more serious than expected and he abandoned in the assistance of Uga. Other powerful teams that were left behind due to different incidents were those of Óscar Curbelo-Elizabeth de la Iglesia, who were fourth overall until the gearbox broke down. Alejandro Betancort, Alejandro Martín or Pedro Luzardo were other drivers without luck on this occasion. And even in the last pass some vehicles had a very difficult time, such as number 39 of Seidán Moreno-Adrián Moreno, who tried until the end pushing their Hyundai Getz to the finish line, as they could not receive external help.

In other cases, the problems delayed him a lot, such as the VW Polo N5 of Oscar Cabrera, which prevented him from fighting for a better classification.

In total, 33 of the 41 vehicles that took the start on Friday night finished.

The event concluded in the Plaza del Carmen of Playa Blanca with the awards ceremony, with the presence of the top authorities of Yaiza, president of the Federation of Las Palmas and the CD. Evesport, organizer of the rallysprint. Again, in front of a large presence of fans who preferred to attend this event than the nearby beach, despite the significant heat prevailing in this summery rallysprint finale.

Many people following the race from Las Casitas to Las Breñas, on a section that passed through the towns of Femés and Maciot, with several crossings used for the layout, plus the effect of the chicanes installed on the longest straights.
