The first matches were favorable to the tail of CL Tao, but the result was reversed in a hard-fought evening

The federated competitions of Canarian wrestling on the island of Lanzarote came to an end on Friday night with the dispute of the III Super Cup "Mamerto Cabrera", a fight that pitted CL Tao, champion of the Island Tournament of Lanzarote, against CL Tinajo, champion of the Tournament "Fundación La Caja de Canarias". An even fight on the sand of the arena that was decided in favor of CL Tinajo, thanks to the spectacular fight starring Josué Cedrés "El Puli" and the Highlighted "B" Marcial Viñoly.

As expected, the first matches were favorable to the tail of CL Tao. Miguel Reyes put the first point on the scoreboard by giving Oscar Rejón two in a row, while Adrián Luzardo left Javier Martín out of the fight and Hacomar Elvira gave Adargoma Rodríguez two in a row. David Pacheco was in charge of adding the first point to the CL Tinajo scoreboard, after giving Miguel Reyes the first and ending in a separate the second grab between them. And Kevin Ortega made it 3-2 by giving Adrián Luzardo two in a row.

Hacomar Elvira and Kevin Ortega were mutually eliminated in the third grab, after each of the fighters scored a partial victory and the third concluded in a separate. The youth Cristo Betancort eliminated David Pacheco, scoring the first the Tao fighter and both fighters committing the fourth warning in the second grab. And Rubén Barrios and Kevin Ortega also fell mutually eliminated, after ending in a separate the third grab. The scoreboard reflected a 6-4 in favor of Tao and CL Tinajo lost three important fighters in the middle, such as Miguel Trujillo, David Pacheco and Kevin Ortega.

CL Tao increased the difference to three points, when Alejandro Quesada gave Borja Guillén two in a row. Josué Cedrés, Fran Rodríguez del Toro and Marcial Viñoly, were in charge of putting the tie back on the scoreboard. Josué Cedrés eliminated, after first in separate, the youth Cristo Betancort, Fran Rodríguez del Toro did the same with the majorero Juan Miguel Gil and Marcial Viñoly gave Alejandro Quesada two in a row.

Josué Cedrés "El Puli" was one of the architects of his team's victory and he demonstrated this in the match against David Cabrera "El Bola". The first match between them ended in a separate and in the second grab, David Cabrera committed the fourth warning, being eliminated. Alejandro Umpiérrez left Fran Rodríguez del Toro out of the fight, giving him two in a row. Marcial Viñoly gave Alejandro Barrios two in a row and Carlos Moreno did the same with Juan Rodríguez, establishing a nine-way tie on the scoreboard.

Another of the important points achieved by Josué Cedrés was against Alejandro Umpiérrez, to whom he gave the first and the Tao fighter was eliminated by warnings in the second. Marcial Viñoly had no problems giving Roberto Barrios two in a row, putting the score at 9-11 and Carlos Moreno being the only fighter left standing in the ranks of CL Tao. The Highlighted "B" of CL Tao tightened the result a little more by eliminating José Daniel Fernández.

The Super Cup "Mamerto Cabrera" was finally decided in the match between Carlos Moreno (CL Tao) and Marcial Viñoly (CL Tinajo). Marcial Viñoly scored both grabs, being in charge of establishing the final 10 to 12 on the scoreboard and CL Tinajo conquering the title of champion of the III Super Cup "Mamerto Cabrera".

 

I Challenge "Mamerto Cabrera"


During the dispute of the final of the Super Cup "Mamerto Cabrera" a challenge of leading players was held that delighted the public that gathered at the Terrero Andrés Curbelo "Pollo de Tao". The challenge was starred by Miguel Hernández "El Majorero" (CL Saladar de Jandía) and Fabián Rocha (CL Llano del Moro) and was played to the best of five grabs. The two fighters reached the fifth grab, with Miguel Hernández winning.

The Interinsular Federation of Canarian Wrestling of Lanzarote, presided over by José Hernández, made a small tribute to the Cabrera Medina family for their support of Canarian wrestling on the island of Lanzarote. An act in which the presidents of all the clubs on the island participated, thanking the support they receive from this company.
