CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was defeated on the court of Aula Alimentos de Valladolid, in a match in which the players of San José Obrero showed their faces at all times and were only surpassed by the fast counterattack of the Valladolid team. Based on speed in their attacking actions, the locals were opening the gap in the score to end up imposing themselves by a clear 31 to 24.

The locals were in charge of putting the first two goals on the electronic scoreboard, although the reaction of the Lanzarote team was immediate. The goals of Nabila Harchaouin, Nagore Saenz and Alicia Torres (2), allowed them to get a partial of 0-4, putting them ahead on the scoreboard when only six minutes of play had been played.

The first minutes of the match were being dominated by CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, having to request Miguel Ángel Peñas a time-out in the 13th minute of the first half (5-7). The indications from the bench served for Aula Alimentos Valladolid to tighten in the defensive line and with a partial of 3-0 to regain the initiative in the scoreboard (8-7).

With 8 minutes left for the end of the first part, David Betancort requested a time-out, after conceding a new partial of 3-0, and Elba Álvarez was the one who established the 11 to 8 on the scoreboard. The differences were maintained in the minutes remaining until the break, reaching the end of the first 30 minutes of play with the score of 16 to 13.

Based on fast counterattacks, Aula Alimentos Valladolid was able to open the gap in the score, two of those counters ended in a goal, establishing Amaia González and Cristina Cifuentes the 20 to 16 in the first minutes of the second half. CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was still alive, although it did not give the sensation that it could get closer on the scoreboard, in addition, many of the shots were stopped by a successful Lourdes Guerra "Lulu".

The advantage of Aula Alimentos de Valladolid increased to six goals, transforming Jimena Laguna a seven-meter shot to establish the 27 to 21, and forcing the Lanzarote coach to request the second time-out of the match.

Until the end of the match, the local team was able to manage the advantage it had acquired, not allowing the visitors to get closer on the scoreboard and endangering a victory that places them among the teams that would access the phase for the title in the second part of the season.

With the score of 31 to 24, the match ended at the Pabellón Huerta del Rey, adding Aula Alimentos Valladolid the third victory of the season and CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife the third defeat, although it remains with two points in the standings.
