The Club Deportivo Nadamas Santa Rosa delivered an outstanding performance last weekend at the Campeonato Regional Absoluto, Júnior e Infantil de Invierno, held at the Piscina Municipal de Puerto de la Cruz. The competition, which also hosted the XXV Memorial Manuel Santana Peñate and the XXI Memorial Juan Ramos Borrego, brought together the main clubs of the archipelago and consolidated the Costa Teguise team as one of the regional benchmarks for grassroots and absolute swimming.
During three intense days, the Lanzarote team competed at the highest level against historic entities of Canarian swimming, achieving results of great relevance both in the collective and individual spheres.
In the children's category, CD Nadamas Santa Rosa reached second position in the men's general classification, only surpassed by CN Metropole, confirming the solidity and depth of its team in individual events. In the women's section, the club's swimmers achieved a meritorious third place, behind CN Metropole and CN Teneteide, reflecting the sustained growth of the youth academy.
At an individual level, the results were equally outstanding. Diego Vázquez was proclaimed best child swimmer of the championship according to the AQUA points table, a recognition that rewards technical performance based on the quality of the marks obtained. For his part, Nicolás Padrón finished in fourth position in the AQUA points classification in the child category, staying just three points from the podium, which evidences the high competitiveness of the championship and the excellent level of the swimmer.
In Junior category, Herminio Fernández signed an outstanding performance that also placed him as one of the benchmarks of the championship, while in Absolute category he achieved third position in the points classification, consolidating his progression and his role as one of the main sports assets of the club.
These results reaffirm the planned work that CD Nadamas Santa Rosa has been developing, supported by technical training, physical preparation, and the competitive accompaniment of its athletes. The combination of young talent and competitive experience allowed the team to maintain a high performance in all categories.
With this performance in the Winter Regional, CD Nadamas Santa Rosa strengthens its position within Canarian swimming and faces the upcoming commitments of the autonomous and national calendar with confidence and ambition, maintaining as a priority objective continuous improvement and the integral development of its swimmers.
