Last weekend, CD Esna Lanzarote demonstrated its talent and unity in the Club Cup held in Tenerife, reaping successes that reaffirm the growth of this small but formidable swimming school.
The day was marked by moments of euphoria when the precious bell rang twice. This sound celebrated the achievement of two Best Regional Marks (MMR):
- Tania Herrera, MMR 12 years old in 1500 freestyle with a time of 20:47:71.
- Bianca Curletto, MMR 13 years old in 50 breaststroke with a time of 35:21.
The performance of the women's team did not stop there. Several swimmers managed to set new records for the 1st division Championship:
- Bianca Curletto in 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke.
- The 4x200L relay composed of Vicky, Sara, Raquel and Claudia.
- Raquel Martín in 200 styles.
- The 4x100 styles relay, composed of Sara, Bianca, Raquel and Claudia.
The sum of all these achievements and the points obtained by the rest of the teammates positioned the women's team as Champions of the 1st Division Club Cup. The members of the men's team, with more than seven absentees for this event, could not shine in the same way but, more importantly, they identified areas for improvement that will drive them in future competitions.
The participation of CD Esna Lanzarote in the Tenerife Club Cup was not only a demonstration of individual and collective talent, but also a reaffirmation of the unity and spirit of overcoming challenges that characterize this promising swimming school.
