CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen won this Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of Tías against Rodríguez Cleba (30-29) in a match corresponding to the eighteenth day of group A of the Women's Silver Honor Division.

Necessary victory in a decisive match against Rodríguez Cleba that strengthens the second place for the Tiñoseras towards the end of the league and with eight days to play. The equality and level observed in the matches between both teams (draw in the first round in León and victory by the minimum in Tías) shows that, until now, they are the teams with the greatest chances of reaching second place.

Both teams came from a defeat in the previous day and were aware of the importance of the match for the future. The Tiñoseras came out more plugged in, achieving differences in the first part between four and five goals based on a better start (minute 30, 16-12).

But the León team was not going to lose sight of the match and in the first stages of the second half they managed to impose their game in the forty by twenty tiense and, in just ten minutes, they equalized the score. The last twenty minutes were of equality and alternation in the leadership of the scoreboard, reaching the last minute with everything at stake.

The greater success of the Tiñoseras in the dying moments of the sixty minutes of play, scoring with forty seconds remaining and successfully defending any option for the León team to tie the match, left the victory and second place in property in Lanzarote.

The Chilean international goalkeeper of CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen, Made Cortez, somewhat frustrated by the sensations of the second half, knew how to recover, causing her team's victory with a great save in the last breath of the match.

In the offensive facet, Keyla Hernández was the most successful with eleven goals in the León goal. In Rodríguez Cleba, the top scorers of the match were Cristina Viñuela and Sofía Ghilardi, with nine goals each.

In the final minutes, an unfortunate fall by Mary Sánchez caused a scare in the team when she fell to the ground with pain in her left knee at the end of the match. After a first inspection at the Municipal de Tías, she went to Hospiten where they saw a lump in the upper part of the kneecap, recommending rest to observe how the injury evolves.
