The balance of the three consecutive away games has not been the most positive for Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, suffering two defeats and only managing one draw, the one achieved this Saturday on their visit to Balonmano Porriño. San José Obrero managed to have a four-goal lead at the start of the second half, but their play faded as the minutes went by. In the final stretch, they were able to equalize a four-goal deficit and at least secure a draw.

The goal by Balonmano Porriño that opened the scoring was quickly countered by goals from Adrián Juárez and Rafa Robayna, allowing Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife to take the lead throughout the first half. Before the halfway point of the period, a counter-attack by Rafa Robayna and a goal by Ángel Iglesias from his own court into an empty net, extended the lead to three goals (5-8).

Balonmano Porriño tied the game with a 3-0 run, leveling the score at 9-9. This served as a wake-up call for the players of the Lanzarote team to step up in the final minutes of the first half, allowing them to go into halftime with a three-goal lead. The first 30 minutes of play concluded with a score of 13-16.

At the start of the second half, Mauro Jaureguiberry increased the lead to four goals (13-17), the largest of the match. From that moment on, the Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife team suffered a blackout and allowed their opponent to turn the score around. Martín Rodríguez with a seven-meter throw and Eloy Molanes put the Galician team two goals ahead, forcing David Betancort to call a timeout (20-18).

The Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife didn't quite react, and Balonmano Porriño managed to establish a four-goal lead halfway through the second half (24-20). The visiting team gradually chipped away at the difference, with Adrián Juárez being the one to tie the game, after completing a 1-5 run (25-25).

With 50 seconds left, Ángel Iglesias put Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife ahead, and on the next play, Fernando Mosquera tied it for the home team. San José Obrero had the last offensive play to win the game, but Adrián Juárez's individual effort couldn't beat goalkeeper José Álvarez

With the 28-goal draw, the match came to an end, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife earning a point that leaves them in third place, three points behind the second-placed team. The Lanzaroteans' next opponent will be Bueu Atlético Balonmano, a match that will be played on Saturday at 7:30 PM at the Pabellón Municipal de Titerroy.
