The Tías City Council wishes to congratulate the Suhari Tías club and Amelie Skiba for having won the Silver medal in the second phase of the National Children's Karate League held this weekend in the Aguas Vivas Guadalajara pavilion. This achievement allows her direct qualification for the grand final on December 12 and 13 in Malaga.
According to information provided by the Suhari club, Amelie Skiba, 11 years old, won second place in the medal table after four fights in which she showed a great level, and only one point separated her from the gold medal in a great championship that becomes more important, since she achieved direct qualification for the grand final of the national league.
She won the first fight convincingly 6-0; the second she won 3-0; the third was more disputed, winning 3-2; and in the final she took a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard, but then the Asturian competitor tied 1-1 and with a few seconds left, Amelie's rival scored the definitive 1-2.
As pointed out by the Suhari club, Amelie Skiba traveled to Guadalajara with her father, since this time the club's technicians could not accompany her. Once in the pavilion, she was welcomed by Javier Orán (technician from the Vista Bella gym and friend of the Suhari club) to direct her in her fights.
