Alejandro Bethencourt, winner of the Princess Alexia Trophy of the Canary Islands J80 Cup

Of the total of eight boats that participated, the podium was completed by Calero Marinas and the third place for Longevida

The 17th Princess Alexia Trophy and Canary Islands Championship of the J80 class was held this weekend in the waters of Puerto Calero, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. The regatta field was moved to the southern port at the request of the sailors. 

The weather conditions with almost no wind, only allowed the celebration of a test on Saturday afternoon with wind of 6 knots of intensity. The victory in the only regatta held was the sailboat of Alejandro Bethencourt and crewed by Álvaro Bernal, Miguel Bethencourt, Oscar Pattenden and Santiago Bravo de Laguna. 

The podium was completed by José Juan Prats' Calero Marinas with Jorge Cabrera, Esteban Nieto and Santiago Bermúdez, who finished second. The third place was for Longevida with Antonio López Socas, Yapci Reyes, Miguel Ángel Naverán and Manuel Carrión.

A total of eight boats participated, the boat skippered by Alejandro Morales was classified fourth, El Mateo of Alfredo Morales fifth, followed by Rotini of Rafael Barbadillo, Calero Marinas of Iza González and Damunchito of Pedro Ferrer.
