The sadness of Verónica's laughter

War has no mercy on peace.

And if mental health were physical, I'm afraid that possibly no one would be questioning access to universal mental health.

And a body will never be healthy in a sick mind.

It surprises me that in all this time that humanity has been going through existence without dominating the emotional and with deep ups and downs in life, it has not given it the relevance it deserves.

Verónica's mental health ended up deteriorating, after many years of depression, in a battlefield that we know well:

prime time and social networks, because bullying can be practiced at school or anywhere where, while there is no physical violence, all other violence is blurred and is something like "hard-boiled egg."

There is no age for depression to appear. It doesn't start at one point and end at another.

It begins with the feeling of inferiority caused by the exhausting obedience of following patterns and standards towards what is "normal" (which, by the way, our patterns are usually quite mediocre) and it is perpetuated from the moment it smells like distance from that center, there is no turning point that is worth being in the spotlight. Everything crumbles... Whoever you are.

Also, even if you are a famous actress with many awards.

Having your mind in place when you're not in a good place is very difficult.

Verónica was not well, she had shouted it actively and passively, in a country that has always believed it was.

Because a country that allows the public channel to make programs with hints of harassment to increase the audience is a country that is not in its place and has to have it looked at.

Cooking the destruction of a person when you know they are weak is not a dish of good taste.

Verónica has been pushed. Us, the audience on social networks, the prime time program, which is willing to cook whoever it takes to get the numbers in. And be able to make ends meet.

What is the difference between a bloody war and a stealthy one? Possibly the times.

I hope we learn to be selective with what we see and especially with what we say.

Rest, Verónica.

In peace.

Thank you for the cinema.
