NO TO THE ORDINATION OF MR. FRANCISCO CASES ANDREU: AS BISHOP OF THE "CANARIENSIS DIOCESE"

NO TO THE ORDINATION OF MR. FRANCISCO CASES ANDREU: AS BISHOP OF THE "CANARIENSIS DIOCESE"

January 31 2006 (14:14 WET)

The Holy See's clock stopped in time since November 7, 1351, the date on which the first bishopric was erected in the Kanarias Islands, in the city of Telde, we have only had a single Kanarian bishop in 654 years.

The church continues with its inquisitorial and dictatorial stance, intentionally and manipulatively preventing a Kanarian from rightfully occupying the highest representation in the Canariensis bishopric.

It is not fair that two million believers from the fragmented Kanarian Archipelago have to be represented by a foreign bishop who is unaware of our customs, beliefs, and particular Kanarian fervor.

From the Kanarian Social Organization Titeroygakat, we have repeatedly requested through the Spanish press and public demonstrations that we wanted a Kanarian bishop.

The Holy See ignored the requests of the People and intends once again to ordain a foreign bishop on January 27, 2006. The church has lost its morals and does not heed the requests of the parishioners.

Therefore, we flatly oppose the ordination of Mr. FRANCISCO CASES ANDREU, as bishop of the "Canariensis Diocese". Likewise,

WE REQUEST; the creation of four bishoprics in the Kanarian Nation

- 1st for the Mahos of Titeroygakat (Lanzarote) and Maxorata (Fuerteventura).

- 2nd The Canariensis for the island of Tamaran.

- 3rd The Nivariensis for the island of Chinet (Tenerife).

- 4th The Benahore (La Palma, Gomera and El Hierro).

From Titeroygakat, we only hope that Mr. FRANCISCO CASES ANDREU, lasts a few months in his bishopric and voluntarily abandons it so that the Kanarian People can have now and forever in our Canariensis Diocese, only bishops of Kanarian origin.

The President The Regional Historical-Social Director

Antonio Leal Aguilar
