"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." (Abraham Lincoln).
These upcoming legislative elections on June 26, which many citizens are tremendously excited about as the elections of authentic change, should mark a turning point that drives the construction of an alternative socioeconomic model for the State that bets on a better and fairer distribution of wealth.
We have to fight together against a developmentalist, wasteful economic model that has created unemployment and more unemployment, increasing the precariousness and degradation of public services, dismantling the labor and social rights of workers.
We have to change together a model of political management that institutionalizes the racket and speculation; where deception and contempt for citizens is absolute. Where the corrupt resist democratic control by citizens; which is increasingly deteriorating the level and quality of life of the majority of citizens.
We are committed to implementing a model of political management that solves the important problems of citizens, where real citizen participation, of course, with participatory budgets, transparency in political management, defense of the environment, the well-being of citizens, respect for minorities, respect for the right of peoples to decide, the defense of the public, political ethics, aid to the excluded and social justice, are the central axis of politics.
We are presented with an unbeatable opportunity to put the ideas of social transformation into practice, vertebrating the aspirations for change of a social majority. A social majority with new political demands that imply above all new ways of understanding politics, closer, more everyday and more participatory, a change in the functioning of political parties, with methods of participation and deliberation, selection of representatives and accountability becoming important, which require more open, inclusive and pluralistic organizational realities.
It is an important political moment from the point of view of citizenship because we are facing an opportunity of a historical nature that we have to know how to take advantage of, because a real political change can be configured with an electoral majority in the short term and a political and social majority in the long term. And thus be able to put an end to the cuts, institutionalized corruption, and be able to recover social rights, equality, solidarity, real and participatory democracy, etc.
Citizens cannot have four more years of government at the service of cutting public services and devaluing workers. It would be a political irresponsibility difficult to explain if we wasted this historic moment, conducive to democratically evicting the cacique elites from the institutions (Congress and Senate) once and for all.
This change could be possible if the citizens and the political forces that are committed to real change, grouped around Unidos Podemos, try to dismantle the perverse strategies of fear based on the lies that (PP, PSOE, C's and CC) embody. They are so committed to lying that they do not mind entering into a crazy race of absurdities with the sole objective of achieving notoriety at any price, even at the cost of their credibility.
Citizens should know that both (PP, PSOE, C's and CC) are part of the organic party of the ruling class, the bourgeoisie, which although it has various forms and seems different things, when it comes to the truth it unites in common interests: the particular interests of certain elites and large capitals.
It is in our hands to defend from the political commitment an option of change at the state level that allows us to transform our society and achieve social justice. Unidos Podemos represents the democratic reaction against those who, shamelessly, steal from us while leading us to a social abyss.
Starting from the basis that politics is the service to the citizens and the interests of the common, we must make Unidos Podemos an instrument to improve reality and not serve the particular interests of a minority and against the general interest of the citizens.
There is no turning back: either an old, useless and corrupt machinery that represents the political parties of always or a conscious and organized citizenry, which is ready to close a cycle of bad government. The average citizen takes the floor, or rather, takes the ballot and decides where he can: at the polls. Participate in the change!.
