Ignacio Stampa is no longer part of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
Nobody voted for him.
Nobody.
Not even the Association of progressive prosecutors.
And it's not humiliating. It's scandalous.
Nobody voted for him because he was doing his job too well.
And when a prosecutor does his job too well and tries to be fair, it bothers the System that feeds what is Unfair.
Everyone present looked the other way, no one supported him, and at that moment he was not alone.
We ALL became orphans of JUSTICE.
From the beginning, they diverted the important thing from the focus of the "Dina Case" to manipulate public opinion and divert attention from what was important.
Questioning someone's reputation is the perfect bait to divert the crux of the matter that Ignacio Stampa was dealing with.
But the real problem with all this is still with us in this country, which is full of people with a lot of power who are not honest with their responsibilities or with public money.
The reality is that Spain is not a great nation, because in a great nation, the people who are in charge of power are honorable and honest, and no matter how you look at it, in Spain that is conspicuous by its absence.
Ignacio is one of the anti-corruption prosecutors who has worked the hardest and risked his face this year.
You may have heard of him because he is one of the authors of uncovering the famous Kitchen cases, the Villarejo plots, the King, the BBVA, the abuses of power by the Popular Party and its corruption...
Or maybe you know him for what was NOT important.
What is relevant is that he was a character who was annoying for doing his job well.
Here the loss is for everyone. Society loses. We lose a justice professional who has fought to dismantle the entrails of the corrupt system and make the stability of the de facto powers falter.
You can't imagine how well protected those networks are...so much so that doing justice is more expensive than continuing to feed that injustice that supposes the survival of those powers that we do not see, but that dictate our lives, rob us at will and manipulate us as they want.
Today JUSTICE dies a little more in this country.
They say that Stampa's office has not stopped receiving flowers since yesterday.
It already happened in the Carnation Revolution. Where the flowers dictated sentence.
Because flowers manifest themselves without making noise, without causing harm.
They manifest to take care and tell the person who receives them that they are important.
Flowers don't scream, they are a stealthy weapon.
Their mere presence is so powerful that it is capable of achieving awareness and generosity in those who look at them.
The flowers spoke this morning of justice in the Prosecutor's Office.
They say they said... "Ignacio. You are worth much more than a place."
