The mayor highlights that "we currently have 14 tenders underway for works and services worth 23 million euros, which gives an idea of Yaiza's investment muscle with projects that improve the quality of life for our residents." Companies interested in this tender can submit offers until Friday, January 23, 2026.
In the case of the expansion works at the San Marcial del Rubicón sports center, the City Council intends to deliver a new recreational and accessible area of 2,500 square meters for citizen leisure, consistent with the projects carried out in the municipality in recent years for the improvement of infrastructure and services.
Ángel Lago, councilor for Sports and Public Works of Yaiza, emphasizes "the importance of continuing to condition meeting points for the use and enjoyment of the population, not only for the essential objective of having more outdoor spaces for healthy activities, but because these actions help to beautify the environment, in this case, the urban residential area of San Marcial del Rubicón and Las Coloradas."Yaiza regenerated an abandoned court and inaugurated the current San Marcial del Rubicón sports center in April 2023, equipped with a multipurpose court, bleachers, calisthenics machines, bathrooms, and perimeter fencing. The Administration now plans to expand the center with more services on the adjacent triangular plot located north of the sports facility.
