University and higher education students from Yaiza can submit their applications from August 25 to obtain municipal transport aid for young people enrolled in the past year 2020-2021, in public education centers. The City Council chaired by Óscar Noda allocates an amount of up to 650 euros per student for those who accredit their studies outside of Lanzarote; up to 300 euros for students on the island, non-face-to-face or online; and up to 250 euros for higher cycle students inside or outside the Island.
The institution suggests carefully reading the call for applications published on the municipal website www.yaiza.es to then fill out forms and submit all the required documentation. Students have a period of thirty calendar days to register their application.
Applicants must have Spanish nationality or be a community member and prove habitual and uninterrupted residence in the municipality of Yaiza, for at least 24 months. "In this new call, we are increasing the amount of aid for university students outside the Island by 150 euros, by 50 euros for university students who are training in Lanzarote and also by 50 euros for young people in higher education," explains the Councilor for Education of Yaiza, Silvia Santana.
