After concluding the public bidding process, the Cabildo of Lanzarote has awarded the works to adapt the facilities of the Puerto del Carmen paddock and convert them into a public parking lot with 65 spaces.

Mantenimientos Marmape, S.L will be the company in charge of executing the works, which will involve an investment of 96,386.60 euros, plus 6,747.06 euros in respect of IGIC. The financing corresponds to the Investment Plan for Works in Municipalities of the first Island Corporation.

“The building of the old Puerto del Carmen paddock, located on Anzuelo street, will be transformed into a modern public parking lot with 65 spaces, two of them reserved for people with reduced mobility, thus alleviating, in part, the great demand for parking spaces in this tourist town”, details the Councilor for Public Works of the Cabildo, Jacobo Medina.

The works, whose execution period will be five months, also contemplate the reform of the electrical, fire, ventilation and electric vehicle recharging installations. Likewise, a public pedestrian access will also be built, independent of the road access that already exists.
