The Tinajo City Council has demanded the repair of the Tinache reservoirs, since the Council assures that it is “a claim that comes from afar and responds to the urgent needs of the citizens in terms of water supply”.
The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, wanted to thank both the president's visit, María Dolores Corujo, the Minister of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, as well as the Minister of the Water Consortium, Andrés Stinga, as “the predisposition of both to solve the problem of the Tinache deposits”.
From the Tinajo City Council they maintain that both the president and the councilor agree with Machín that, at the proposal of the Secretary of the Consortium, who also serves as Secretary of the Tinajo City Council, “priority should be given to the project presented in 2017 in the Water Consortium and in the Island Council of Lanzarote for the repair of the deposits", and that also "they should never have been removed”.
“They are going to be given maximum priority, and the people of Tinajo should know that, the company that presents a better temporary offer will be given a higher score. And it is necessary that the repair of these deposits is not delayed any longer and that, once and for all, the water supply problems for the citizens of Tinajo”, emphasizes the mayor, Jesús Machín.
In addition, from the Consistory they assure that according to Andrés Stinga, “the project is currently under price review because it has been requested since 2017, and clarifies that the best offer for the duration of the repair will have a better score to definitively carry out the work”.
