The City Council of Tías, governed by PSOE, Lanzarote Avanza (LAVA) and Lanzarote en Pie-Sí Podemos, has transferred these days 32,000 euros to different sports clubs in the municipality, and affirms that it has been "thanks to the budgetary saving achieved in 2021 and in accordance with the institutional sensitivity to the effort made by these clubs in the long period of pandemic".
"We are aware of the difficult times that many citizens and many companies are going through, as are sports clubs, which play a great sporting and community role with the children and young people of the municipality. For this reason, we have taken advantage of the good health of our accounts to make these transfers," said the mayor, José Juan Cruz.
Thus, at the end of December, the transfer orders for subsidies to the Club de Lucha Cadanto Tías (13,000 euros), the Barrilla de Puerto del Carmen handball club (5,000 euros), the Magec Tías sports club (5,000 euros), the La Tiñosa Tinguafaya FS club (3,000 euros), CD Unión Puerto del Carmen (3,000 euros) and the Sporting Tías Football Club (3,000 euros) were signed.
