The Tías City Council has hired, for the fourth consecutive year, a local employment and development agent to execute the Program for the Promotion of Economic Activity Development (Prodae) within the framework of the collaboration agreement between the Canary Islands Employment Service of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the councilor for Employment, Kalinda Pérez, express their satisfaction with the new hiring of an expert in dynamizing commerce and local development, "as we guarantee the service of dissemination, entrepreneurship and business advice in the municipality," said the mayor.
Kalinda Pérez emphasized the objective of the program, which is to generate business activity, as well as achieve the growth of existing businesses by taking advantage of opportunities that may arise in certain sectors and creating new companies in the municipality.
As explained by the head of Employment, "it will be a priority to work on supporting and promoting the creation of companies, whether self-employment or any other legal form." "Our efforts to boost the economic activity of the municipality have not ceased and we continue working to promote employment and training," she concluded.
