The Tías Town Council has demolished an expropriated house on Vía Mare street in Puerto del Carmen. The property where this house was located is affected by the layout for the continuation of Bufadero street, as reflected in the Tías General Urban Plan.
The total demolition of the house and garage is motivated by the road included in the General Plan, which crosses the property to connect with Princesa Ico street and other existing roads. In addition, the council decided to expropriate and proceed with the demolition to prevent it from being occupied by undocumented personnel in the time that elapses until the execution of the planned road.
According to the project, “the property is located on urban land, on a plot with a large slope that is resolved with a retaining wall on the west of the plot, towards a small square. On the plot there are two volumes, one of them apparently intended for a garage, and the other for housing.”
The constructed area of the main house occupied 110.09 square meters with a demolished volume of 319.55 cubic meters; the garage occupied 51.62 square meters with a volume to be demolished of 134.21 cubic meters. The total volume affected by the demolition amounts to 453.76 cubic meters.
In addition, the ordinary plenary session held this Wednesday approved with the votes in favor of the government group, formed by PSOE and Unidas Sí Podemos, the detailed study that modifies the conditions of another plot located between Bufadero street corner Anzuelo street.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Ulpiano Calero, explained in the plenary session that this modification, of interest to the administration and the owner, corrects the alignment of the surface, collecting the consolidated infrastructures, such as parking lots and an energy transformation center that add up to about 180 square meters of public domain.
