The Yaiza City Council will manage the Municipal Collection service, after resolving the contract that linked it to a private entity that was in charge of it for the last four years.
This measure will mean savings of close to 800,000 euros per year for the municipal coffers, according to announcements from the City Council. In addition, it will be the Department's own staff who, from now on, will perform the functions derived from this service. Another initiative of the Sanitation Plan that the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Leonardo Rodríguez, is working on, with which he intends to reduce the municipal debt.
"It is great news for the Yaiza City Council", says the southern mayor, "since it underpins the planning that we have designed to contain spending and achieve the economic sanitation of the Council".
"We understand that in order to achieve these objectives we have to assume certain external services, such as the one that was being provided to the Collection Department. We recover its management in what is a good boost to the economic management of the new Government group and, at the same time, a respite for the municipal coffers", says Rodríguez.
