La Mareta Square in La Villa de Teguise will now be a meeting point for the young people of the municipality. This Tuesday, the doors of the new Youth Space were opened, a place where the youth associations of the municipality will now be able to develop their ideas and projects.

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, reiterated his "firm commitment" to the demands and needs of the youth sector of the municipality, and announced during the inauguration of the La Mareta headquarters, that the next project of the Government group will be to convert the current Costa Teguise Civic Center into a Youth Center. "Thanks to the investment of one million euros from the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN), which will soon be put out to tender, Costa Teguise will house a new Civic Center for residents, which will allow the current one to be allocated to the youngest segment of the population," Betancort declared.
Likewise, the mayor congratulated the representatives of the youth associations of Teguise, -Francisco Parrilla (Canarian Youth Press) and Juan Antonio Hernández (La Molina)-, "for adding value to the active policies that are being deployed in Teguise at a social level, and that in the case of young people is based on training to be able to develop personal and work projects and have the necessary preparation to face the challenges of the future." Betancort also thanked all the political groups "for their presence and support in a historic moment for Teguise".

The event was attended by students from the Teguise Music School, who offered a small performance directed by Ayoze RodrÃguez
