The XV edition of the San Bartolomé Weekend Shopping exceeded all expectations, establishing itself as a key event for the economic and social promotion of the municipality. During the weekend, more than 70 businesses participated in a day full of offers, shows and activities that attracted thousands of people, generating an economic impact of more than 39,000 euros and delivering more than 2,700 prizes.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, points out that "this edition has not only doubled participation, but has also demonstrated the great potential of our commercial areas. From the City Council we will continue to support this type of initiative that strengthens the local economy and creates a meeting space for residents and visitors".

The event, which began on Friday, November 29, coinciding with Black Friday, brought together hundreds of people from the early hours. The day began with the inauguration of the II Christmas Market, with ten craft and fashion stalls, and continued with activities such as the zumba meeting for the benefit of Pequeño Valiente, dance shows and the expected lighting of the nativity scene and Christmas lights.

Saturday the 30th began with a calm atmosphere thanks to the arrival of the Virgen de los Dolores, which attracted pilgrims to the restoration area. During the morning, the Municipal Band offered a Christmas repertoire, followed by performances such as Toto the Clown and the parade with batucada and Santa Claus. In the afternoon, the concerts of Treintytantos, Aseres and DJ Víctor Magán filled the streets with music and joy, while the A.C.E.A. barber battle Isla de Lanzarote stood out as one of the most innovative activities of this edition.

The night culminated with the expected final draw, whose prizes included Christmas baskets, a trip through the islands and a cruise through the Mediterranean, and the concert of the Madrid group Corazón Oxidado, a tribute to Fito y Fitipaldis, which closed the event with an explosion of confetti and a great ovation from the public.

The San Bartolomé Weekend Shopping 2024 was consolidated as an island benchmark in commercial revitalization thanks to the support of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, and the European collaboration funds of the European Union.

With this successful edition, San Bartolomé "reaffirms its commitment to the local economy, commercial revitalization and the social well-being of its residents".
