The Repsol gastronomic guide has awarded a "Solete" to the El Diablo restaurant in Timanfaya. The prestigious publication awards this prize to "that place that awakens a smile, that seduces with its closeness, its appetizing proposal and good atmosphere. According to the edition, it is "an address to suggest to friends and keep as a point of reference".
In addition, it maintains its "Recommendation" of the Castillo de San José restaurant, in Arrecife. According to Los Centros, in the opinion of the guide's critics, the emblematic space transformed by César Manrique deserves to be in the category of "restaurants in which the loyalty of the clientele and the sincere product foreshadow a pleasant experience that is complemented by a simple but thoughtful wine offer, a place where warmth is contagious and heartfelt cuisine is felt in dishes and tapas".

The CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, congratulates "the kitchen and dining room professionals of the Entity, the true protagonists of these awards, as well as the rest of the island's award-winning restaurants."
"The Tourist Centers have gone from a restoration that some wanted to privatize to receiving awards and distinctions with a model that, in addition, is on the path to profitability," adds Perdomo.
The Tourist Centers point out that the El Diablo restaurant surprises "both for its surroundings and for a careful and meticulous menu of dishes around its great secret: the barbecue that is fueled by the heat of the volcano." For its part, they also detail from the Entity that the Castillo de San José restaurant stands out with a gastronomic proposal "of proximity", built with the advice of the Lanzarote chef Orlando Ortega focused, mainly, "on local products, Lanzarote wines and craft beer."
