The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Transportation, led by Councilor Nerea Santana, has made available to citizens, through public consultation, the draft Regulation of Regular Interurban Passenger Transport on the island.

The objective of this regulation is to regulate the general conditions of use of the interurban concession of Regular Public Passenger Transport. It also regulates the rights and obligations of users of said transport, as well as the obligations of the concessionaire of the service.

For the Minister of Transport, Nerea Santana, “the contributions and allegations of the population are essential to improve and enrich this regulation as well as the public transport service". "Efficiency in the movement of travelers is a fundamental objective of the island's transport policy”, she adds.

This Regulation of Regular Interurban Passenger Transport incorporates different guidelines in order to offer citizens "efficient and modern" mobility conditions, according to the first island institution.

The document can be consulted in the Notice Board of the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo and the allegations will be presented through said headquarters or in the General Registry of the Cabildo in the form of an instance and accompanied, if necessary, with a document in which the proposal is argued.

The deadline to submit contributions to this regulation will conclude on August 26. Subsequently, the procedures will continue in accordance with the Law of Administrative Procedure, for the approval of the draft Regulation in the Governing Council and initial approval in the Plenary of the Corporation.
