The PSOE of Arrecife has brought to light a judicial order, from last March 14, "hidden by Astrid Pérez", which forces the Arrecife City Council to pay the amount of 5,593,984.01 euros, as interest to the owners of the controversial Ginory land. This amount represents a severe blow to the municipal coffers that are facing having to pay those interests, in addition to paying a loan of 27 million euros to BBVA, requested on December 16, to advance the payment of 22 million euros on New Year's Eve.

"A very expensive whim of the mayoress of Arrecife and her government partners that will now be paid by the citizens of Arrecife", they criticize from the political formation.

From the PSOE they recall that "the alibi" that was used at that time was that 7 million euros would be saved by advancing them 22 million, for which they requested a loan from BBVA. “From the beginning, the operation smelled bad, and the PSOE clearly pointed out that it was incomprehensible that someone would advance the money without having an agreement signed by both parties in which the property renounced the interest, in exchange for the advance”, Cristina Duque adds.

The socialist councilor points out that "the PSOE has constantly denounced the lies and concealment of information by the Mayoress of Arrecife, who first delayed the plenary session of December 20, then hid the payment of the 22 million transferred on December 31, later also covered up the information that the owners wanted new interests, has let the deadline pass for the review of the fair price, and now had covered up that since March 14 a judicial order requires paying more than 5 and a half million euros for a very questionable land".

"It should be noted, adds the councilor, that no one at this point doubts that the Ginory operation had as its main person responsible in its beginning the PP of 2010, what is also clear is that the end of this operation is being a brutal attack against public coffers, increasing the cost of the procedure with a millionaire loan with BBVA and making a fool of themselves in the courts". "Astrid Pérez's incompetence in Ginory is starting to look suspicious, it's hard to believe that someone can be so inept in a made in PP issue”, Duque sentences.

Finally, the PSOE spokesperson in Arrecife warns Ástrid Pérez again that “we will not allow her to lie, nor to hide the disasters of her management with the Ginory land”.
