The Socialist Party of Arrecife has stated through the spokesperson of the capital's Management Board, Alfredo Mendoza, its firm support for the decision of the mayor Eva de Anta to postpone the reopening of the House of Culture "Agustín de la Hoz" for a week, to guarantee that the administrative procedure is completely finalized.
"We know from the mayor that the cancellation was decided only in the absence of an Industry certification of an installation already carried out, but on this island we are tired of hearing justifications of irregularities based on the absence of a piece of paper. As Eva de Anta stated in her public explanation, there are no possible arguments for non-compliance with the Law," the spokesperson pointed out.
The socialists believe that neither the delay of the reopening party of the House of Culture is a decision of impact on the lives of the residents of Arrecife, nor can a technical warning at the last minute lead to accusations of negligence in public management.
"The mayor has explained to us the very long process of the rehabilitation of the building and the enormous work carried out both by the political part, which is represented today by the Councilor for Culture, Rafael Juan González, as well as by the teams of workers of the City Council. We will see the fruits and applaud so much effort next week, with all the legal and security guarantees," concludes the spokesperson.
