The PSOE of Arrecife "distrusts" that Coalición Canaria wants to "negotiate the General Plan in their offices" when there is one year left for the elections. This was stated in a press release by the party, in which it affirms that "it has seen how in these days a great operation has been unleashed by Coalición Canaria to have the General Plan of Arrecife in their hands".
“It is no coincidence that, with one year to go before the elections, suddenly Echedey (Eugenio), who has demonstrated total submission to (Pedro) San Ginés, wants to have this document in his hands”, says Cristina Duque. In addition, they add that "the enormous aggressiveness that Coalición is showing, insulting Gesplan, the Government of the Canary Islands and its technicians, demonstrates the nerves and tension in which this party lives with this issue", "It seems as if Coalición Canaria's life depended on the desire to control the General Plan of Arrecife",
From the PSOE they emphasize that "the requirement of Coalición Canaria to have the Plan in their hands comes just one year before the elections, and that at this point it is seen that the formation is preparing its campaign". For the municipal spokesperson of the PSOE, “having the General Plan in the hands of the multi-indicted Pedro San Ginés, who is the one who commands in that party, and who has decided to become his political pet, Echedey Eugenio, generates a lot of distrust”.

Cristina Duque states that she "feels astonished to hear again the attacks on Polo Díaz and his honorability, it reminds us of the worst years of San Ginés, but on this occasion represented by Echedey who wants to become a kind of obedient pet, in the political sphere”.

"The former mayor of Coalición Canaria of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes serving prison, María Isabel Déniz arrested in 2010, accused of corruption and, her controversial general plan, or the former councilor of San Bartolomé Miguel Martín, are just some of the most outstanding cases", adds Duque. "Without going any further, last week, in a media outlet, Echedey himself boasted and gave as an example his close friend Juan Pedro Hernández, convicted of urban corruption, and feeling satisfied with the achievements of his friend and colleague, as if he were a teacher,” denounces Cristina Duque.
In addition, the socialist spokesperson points out that "we have recently learned that the mayor of Teguise, also Eugenio's colleague, Oswaldo Betancort, has been deceiving the citizens with the famous skeletons of Costa Teguise, which a court forces him to demolish without Betancort himself doing anything".
Finally, the socialists from Arrecife state "that we are not against the government of Arrecife wanting the powers of the General Plan, but with the background of Coalición, with Pedro San Ginés and Echedey Eugenio at the head, we want to warn that we are going to be alert, we will not allow urban excesses to be committed again in our administrations through insults and intimidation, to which Coalición Canaria is subscribed”, Duque sentenced.
