The PSOE of Arrecife denounces that Yonathan de León "hides" the file of the Ginory plot "so that nobody knows what is happening".
The socialists point out that "they have requested up to three times the file of the Ginory real estate scam, where the Popular Party hired the convicted Felipe Camero as a lawyer." Specifically, it has done so in two documents presented with dates December 5, 2022 and November 14, 2023. "In view of the fact that the mayor refused to hand over the documentation, the socialists of Arrecife have requested it again in the past municipal plenary session of December 29, 2023. The response of the mayor of Arrecife has always been the same: the refusal, preventing the municipal socialist group from having access to the aforementioned file, and that citizens know what they are doing in that real estate scam," they point out.
"We do not know what de León has done in this procedure, only that he is preventing us from definitively knowing the disaster that entails the great urban real estate scam that was the annexation of a sheet of water for a multi-million dollar value," Duque concludes.
"This real estate scam made in PP, is still totally out of control and without knowing how much money it will cost us in the end. Since the mayor of the city, Mr. De León, refuses to allow the opposition group to have access to it. From the PSOE we are tired, and we warn the mayor of the city that either he gives us the file willingly or we will have to go to the courts to demand the rights we have as elected officials." As Duque comments "it is sad that we have to go to a court to request information that is so important for the city."
Finally, Duque states that "the mayor of Arrecife has to understand that he is not at a continuous party, and that he cannot hide information from us to know what he is doing with the money of all the people of Arrecife, it will be serious, but if we have to go to the Courts to demand our rights, we will do so. And a question arises: Why does de León hide this file?" asks the socialist councilor.
