The socialists believe that this "ruthless and petty attack" by CC is a product of the publication in various news media of "a plot of urban corruption orchestrated by Coalición Canaria in Yaiza and Teguise" and the confirmation of the "collapse in the polls" of the nationalist candidate María Isabel Déniz, who, according to the PSOE, has "the sad honor of being the candidate who arouses the most rejection among citizens".
In the advertisement sent by Coalición Canaria entitled "The PSOE presents Arrecife's public enemy number one as a candidate for the city's mayor", you can read statements such as that Pérez Parrilla "has been the worst President of the Cabildo that Arrecife has had in its history", that "he never allocated any special plan for Arrecife", that "during his presidency Inalsa and the CACT´s were ruined" and that "he was never able to help our citizens".
The socialists understand that in electoral campaigns and in politics in general "it is not worth skipping the laws to grant urban licenses in Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca, as CC does; it is not worth suppressing the Morro Angelito because María Isabel Déniz feels like it, as CC does; it is not worth making a Land Management Plan for four powerful people and against the common citizens of Arrecife, as CC does; it is not worth feeding on defectors from other parties, as CC does", and they continue to list a long list of events that they attribute to Coalición Canaria, among which they include that "it is not worth using public money for electoral self-propaganda of Inés Rojas, as CC does; it is not worth understanding politics and public affairs as a means of personal enrichment, as CC does; it is not worth having defendants or prosecuted in several judicial cases to the vast majority of their candidates (Mario Pérez, Jesús Machín, Juan Pedro Hernández, Miguel Martín, María Isabel Déniz...), as CC does".
Finally, from the Socialist Party of Lanzarote they affirm to defend and understand politics "as a noble activity, at the service of citizens and aimed at improving the life of a community" and they put their hand in the fire for Enrique Pérez Parrilla who, according to them, "represents honesty and political and personal commitment to citizens". That is why, they add, "from May 27, he will be the best mayor that the city of Arrecife can have".
