The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, interrupted the plenary session that was being held in the First Island Institution to convey all “the support and solidarity” of the Government group to the Minister of Health, Juan Manuel Sosa, after learning the content of a press release sent from Coalición Canaria to the media.

“What they have done today is an execrable action that exceeds all limits of human baseness and that is only explainable from the threatening and persecutory attitude they have exercised during this last decade, which has placed them where fortunately for this island they are sitting today” Corujo has reproached, who has criticized “the much evil and little shame” of some nationalist councilors. “In politics that has another name,” he insisted.

The president has asked the nationalist representatives to “request and collect all the information they need to get a real idea of the situation, and reflect on the cruelty they have just committed by questioning the legitimacy and honorability of a councilor of this Institution”.

Corujo has shown solidarity with the Minister of Health, and has assured that she feels “surprised and disconcerted with the attitude of the nationalists, who try to tarnish the work of a councilor of this Institution with an attitude of extreme seriousness”.
