"In addition to the three patrol cars immobilized in the Playa Blanca warehouse, there is also the vehicle intended for a medicalized ambulance that is unused and locked in the Civil Protection warehouse," says the candidate for Mayor of Yaiza, Juan Monzón.

The councilors of the Popular Party of Yaiza, Juan Monzón and Guayo Rodríguez, denounce that "Óscar Noda has kept three brand new vehicles intended for the Local Police locked up in a warehouse in Playa Blanca for years." According to the Populars, these are "vehicles that the agents themselves have repeatedly requested because they are equipped with screens and offer greater guarantees for their safety."

It was in January 2020 when Óscar Noda, together with the Deputy Mayor Ángel Domínguez, announced the purchase of three vehicles and a basic life support ambulance for the Civil Protection group. "What we didn't know then," says the municipal spokesperson for the PP, "is that the new units were going to be put in a warehouse, the lock was going to be put on, and that's it to this day," denounces Juan Monzón.

"As of today, the vehicles, Renault Megane brand, have already lost the purchase guarantee and also, since they have the AdBlue system, after all this time they will already have problems in the injectors and batteries. Incidents that also affect an SUV in the municipal fleet that was also stopped and whose battery change results in 12,000 euros less in the municipal coffers each time," criticize from the PP.

The Populars, who have denounced "on many occasions the deficiencies that affect the Local Police force in terms of human and material resources," consider it "completely incoherent that having equipment, in this case vehicles, they are not put into service immediately."

"In addition to the three patrol cars immobilized in the Playa Blanca warehouse, there is also the vehicle intended for a medicalized ambulance that is unused and locked in the Civil Protection warehouse. Once it is to be put into service, it will have to be re-evaluated and undergo all the appropriate revisions to bring it up to date, which are also very expensive," insists the also candidate for Mayor of Yaiza, Juan Monzón.

Monzón, highlights that "the terrible way of acting of Óscar Noda's government with respect to the vehicle fleet is causing significant damage from the point of view of the quality of services." In this sense, they point out that the vans that were delivered to the sports schools and that were also locked up are giving countless technical problems, "spending more time in the workshops than providing the service for which they were acquired.

"All this problem reveals that Óscar Noda and his government have not been focused on managing the problems of the municipality for a long time, dedicating most of their time to their internal squabbles, posing for photos and continuing to live off their income," conclude the Populars.
