The Popular Party of Tinajo believes that the city council "must take a further step in its Animal Welfare policies and adapt to the new demands" that the residents of the municipality who have pets in their care are making in this regard.

The Populars argue that "fortunately, there is increasing awareness among owners about the care their pets require and the obligations that also come with owning domestic animals, especially in the case of dogs, which also need to exercise physically and socialize."

"It is the owners of these animals who are demanding a dog park in the municipality where they can take their pets to enjoy freely, without a leash, an open, spacious area where they can run and play safely,” argues Ramos Ortiz, a member of the PP of Tinajo, who stresses that “this type of space is becoming increasingly common in both urban and rural environments.”

Dog parks "do not require large investments as they are usually built on municipal land where, after convenient fencing, some elements such as small ramps, bridges and tubes are installed for animals to exercise or practice training."

Other demands

Likewise, the Popular Party demands that the municipal government "launch informative talks in order to disseminate the content of the new Animal Welfare Law and the basic aspects that pet owners should take into account."
