The Popular Party in the Teguise City Council has once again demanded that the Council provide public lighting to the streets of the coastal town of Caleta de Caballo.
This was stated by the popular spokesman, Jonás Álvarez Morales, who affirms that the PP will raise a motion to the next plenary session of the municipal corporation urging the installation of light points in Hernán Cortés and Churruca streets. "This is a demand from the residents of Caleta Caballo themselves, who have been demanding an essential public service such as light in their streets for years, which allows them better access to their homes while guaranteeing security in the area," explains Álvarez.
The popular ones point out that, in recent years, the coastal nucleus of Caleta Caballo has experienced "an important increase in the number of inhabitants, who not only spend the summer, but more and more residents are spending the whole year in this town."
For the Popular Party, the local administration must guarantee and offer essential services for the coexistence, security and well-being of all the town's residents. "There are streets like Hernán Cortés that do not have, in the 21st century, the public lighting service, while in Churruca street there is only one point of light," details the spokesman for the popular ones in Teguise.
With the necessary implementation of this essential service, not only is safe transit guaranteed on the roads, but also access to homes by residents and the security of the area," concludes Jonás Álvarez.
