The Popular Party has expressed its outrage at what they consider "a regrettable attitude of political sectarianism by the government of Dolores Corujo that keeps the LZ-408 Nazaret-Vuelta Ajei road, better known as the road to the Agroindustrial Complex on the LZ-30, closed to traffic."

The PP councilor and former head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, considers it "outrageous that a road as busy as the one from Nazaret to the Complex remains closed due to a war of egos and political protagonism" between the leaders of both institutions. "It borders on the pathetic that the works are already finished and the Cabildo does not proceed to open it due to the public war for the photo that Corujo has opened with the municipal government," denounces Jacobo Medina. In addition, the former head of Public Works points out that in his "stage as councilor of the area and before being dismissed" together with his PP colleagues, he proceeded "to tender the project for an amount of 3.5 million euros".

"The work, widely demanded especially by the residents of Teguise, was included within the economic reactivation plan through public works promoted by Medina during the most serious economic moment of the pandemic in order to contribute to generating employment," the PP points out.

"It is unacceptable that the works, whose duration was established at eight months, began last December, and a year later, with the works completed, the road is still closed due to a partisan decision by the Cabildo, which ignores the damages and inconveniences caused by any road closure," says the popular councilor, who considers "the attitude of Dolores Corujo, who continues with her policy of tension with respect to the councilors who are not to her liking for not belonging to her political line, irresponsible."

The popular representatives urge Corujo and the current Minister of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, to "proceed to open the road as soon as possible".
