The Popular Party of Tías has deeply lamented in a press release that after the loss of the blue flag in Playa Grande last year, "the socialist government of José Juan Cruz has left the municipality without any quality badge on its beaches." The opposition party has highlighted that "this year, the beaches of Matagorda, Pila de la Barrilla and Los Pocillos have lost the blue flag, leaving Puerto del Carmen without any of these recognitions."

The PP councilor and local president, Francisco Aparicio, has pointed out that "the loss of these badges is a clear reflection of the negligence and lack of commitment of the socialist government in terms of beaches." "While other municipalities maintain their blue flags, Tías is left behind due to the lack of management and attention to the needs of our beaches," he added.

Aparicio pointed out that "the loss of these badges is not accidental, but the direct result of negligence in maintenance, services and the integral management of our beaches. It is urgent to recover the standards that have always made Puerto del Carmen a first-rate tourist reference."

The Popular Party has urged the mayor José Juan Cruz to take responsibility and take urgent measures to recover these quality badges, which are fundamental for the tourist image of the municipality.

"It is essential that the local government works seriously and committedly to reverse this situation and that the confidence of tourists and residents can be recovered," concluded Aparicio. The Popular Party of Tías reiterates its commitment to improving the quality of public spaces and promoting sustainable and quality tourism in the municipality.
