The PMH denounces "the massive increase in salary" of the councilors of Haría

The opposition party assures that "all that is missing is for us to have an advisor" so that the consistory is in a "frankly anti-democratic drift"

The Haría Municipal Platform (PMH) pointed out this Wednesday that the councilors of the municipality have made "a massive increase" in their salaries and their full dedication.

Evelia García, councilor of the opposition party, has stated that "shamelessness is nesting in the northern Government Group." Thus, she added that "they are not only news for the lack of action but also for the number of released. As if that were not enough, now they raise their salary and increase their dedication to the maximum allowed within the population range," she stressed.

The PMH has accused the Government team, formed by the PSOE, Compromiso por Haría and Nueva Canarias, of having taken advantage of the approval of the budget to include this salary increase in a plenary session that has been convened in an extraordinary and urgent manner, "as is customary in this group," according to the party.

In this line, it has indicated that "this comes to demonstrate what we had already announced in the investiture speech, that we feared that it would become an employment office."

To conclude, Evelia García has assured that "it seems outrageous that with the economic situation that is being experienced and that is leading to an increase in poverty, now the councilors of the Haría City Council appear raising their salaries and increasing their dedications."

Thus, she stressed that "unfortunately this is nothing new and we even fear that in the near future we will have an advisor who will come to confirm what is a City Council in frankly anti-democratic drift."
